In support of World No Tobacco Day this week, the Square Mile Health team are out and about raising awareness of the harms and risks associated with smoking, while promoting our smoking cessation services available from any City of London pharmacy (see link below). The week so far has seen the team engaging with City workers, residents and visitors alike at a number of Boots chemists, including those on Bishopsgate, Gracechurch Street and Cheapside. If you see us around the City do come say hello, and maybe take a selfie with ‘Big Cig’ too!
Statistically, a person is 4 more times more likely to succeed at quitting smoking if they use a form of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) such as nicotine gum, lozenge, or patch, in combination with support from a professional. If you would like support in reducing your tobacco intake or quitting altogether WDP Square Mile Health provides intensive behavioural and pharmacological support, including current stop smoking medication such as NRT and Champix. We also provide electronic cigarettes alongside our standard treatment and support individuals who may want to use e-cigarettes to stop using tobacco based products.
